Borfi is short for Borneo Finance. The hornbill in our logo represents our proud roots in Sarawak and our commitment to helping small businesses across Malaysia.
It was created by a full time junior programmer who also runs a small local business. Balancing a job and a business left very little free time. Sourcing materials, packing orders, and manually calculating costs and marketplace fees like Shopee, TikTok Shop, Grab, and SST took hours after long workdays.
To solve this problem, Borfi was built as an automated calculation tool. Instead of spending hours in messy spreadsheets, sellers can enter ingredient prices once and see their exact unit cost and take home profit in seconds.
